There is no doubt that these are challenging times. This industry is familiar with disruption, but the current crisis is unprecedented in modern times.
The Card & Payments Awards launches the call for entries as the reopening of non-essential shops is imminent, and a sense of familiarity appears to be on the horizon. As always, the last 18 months have seen huge changes in payments, not least the great initiatives that have been implemented as a direct result of Covid-19.
The Awards remain an industry thought-leader and are delighted to reward businesses in the payments market who successfully respond to their customers’ needs.
The Awards welcome back Prime Sponsor TSYS, a Global Payments Company, who have supported the event since launch. The independent judging panel includes a cross-section of representatives from across the UK and Irish payments industry, and is chaired by Roger Alexander, Portfolio of NED and Advisory Roles.
Categories cover technology initiatives, operational excellence, innovation, customer service, payment processing, financial inclusion, industry newcomers, community initiatives, security and anti-fraud, marketing, design and customer service as well as many more.
The awards process will culminate in a black-tie Awards Dinner & Ceremony on Thursday 4th February 2021 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane. The event traditionally sells out in advance and more than 1100 guests attended the 2019 Dinner and Ceremony.
The categories are designed to reflect a range of disciplines and activities that are common across the UK and Irish card and payments markets. The categories for 2021 are as follows:
The deadline for entries is 17.00 on Monday 21st September 2020.
